We ask that you keep your total number of submissions under 8 pieces. If you want to submit more than that, please consider saving extra pieces to submit to the next volume!
We are currently an annual magazine that collects submissions during the fall and winter and publishes our collections in the spring/summer!
(For Whittier College students, we collect submissions during Fall Semester and Winter Break, and then publish our volumes at the end of Spring Semester)
We will likely send out acceptance and rejection emails (the ones that you used when filling out the submission form) sometime after spring break.
If you want to submit something like an essay or a journalism piece, we are open to reading it! It isn't a genre that we are focused on, but if we like your piece, we will gladly add it to our collection!
Not at all! We accept submissions from everyone! The only time you are required to be a Whittier College student is when you are applying to become a team member
We believe that sex can be as much of (or as little) of the human experience as one desires, so we will not turn down writing or artwork that is suggestive or sexually explicit within reason; however, if a piece of art or writing is too explicit (i.e. pornography that is void of any message or artistic purpose) we will have to reject it.
Not at all! Even if you write or create art as a hobby, we want to read it! Writing is for everyone, and we want to make our magazine a space that encourages the community aspect of writing.
